There are currently only three color options. I am a 6' male and the singlenest is quite constricting. Results 1 to 10 of Hammocks are a great lightweight alternative for ultralight campers and hikers. Slackening the hammock reduces lateral loads.
And what about the grizzly bears?! Ultimately, neither of us could do it. He starts pulling my hair. I knee him in the crotch.
Somebody gets an elbow to the chin. Is the ENO able to hold our weight? Do we want it to? The 3 oz of extra weight and 1 inch of space will be negligible for most people, however, even if you intend to use the product for backpacking. In which case, enjoy your hammock for ants! Better to have it and not need it than lose sleep. I love my doublenest hammock, I like being able to pull the sides over me and keeping wind off my face.
Not sure if you can do that with a singlenest. I have a singlenest and I have used it for camping a few times. It works alright but there are a few times each night where a foot slips out and you're rudely awakened I am 6'5" for some kind of reference. With a doublenest you wouldn't have that problem. If you are going to be doing any kind of camping, doublenest is the way to go. For just relaxing and lounging about, a singlenest will work just fine.
I have the doublenest and I want to go longer. I feel like I have ample room, however the side color flaps seem almost pointless. It does develop a calf ridge in it that I can not figure out how to hang without, but over all I do like it and have slept MUCH better in it than I have on the ground with pad.
I just bought a double with no bug net by Yukon Outfitters on Woot so hopefully this will be similar to a doublenest but for a lot cheaper! To rig the hammock, simply wrap an Atlas around two sturdy trees and clip in the hammock at any of those 15 attachment points. The straps are ultra-sturdy, despite a light weight of 11 ounces for the pair.
According to ENO, the straps support up to pounds. Finishing out the suspension system, both the SingleNest and DoubleNest are strung with nautical-strength rope and forged carabiners that clip quickly into the Atlas straps. From the backyard to the backcountry, camping hammocks have become a contender for sleeping systems and ultralight shelters.
Both hammocks come in a dazzling lineup of color combinations. I will ban you if you break this rule. I originally was thinking that I like to lay and sit funny and that the doublnest would give me more room Here is an example. He starts pulling my hair.
